The range "CELTIC WHISKY"RANGE®
The Spirit Safe & Cask Selection
Contrarily to the common practice for Single Malts, these whiskies are not the result of the vatting of several casks originating from the same distillery. They are "Single Cask" whiskies, which means that each of them is drawn from one special cask carefully selected. Each "Single Cask" distinguishes itself by a unique aromatic profile resulting from the specificities of its distillation, the origin of its cask, its placement in the warehouse and the conditions of temperature and humidity to be found in it.
The whiskies from the Spirit Safe & Cask range have been subject neither to chill filtration nor to colouring. Nothing has been added, nothing has been taken away : their natural colour and their tasting character are the expression of a product which is authentic and free of compromise, and of which the entireness of the components have been preserved. At low temperature, the particles which have not been filtrated may cause a light haze, made of aromatic fatty esters which are perfectly natural and contribute to the richness and to the complexity of these whiskies.
Bruichladdich Distillery, Islay, vintage 1992
Malts from the Bruichladdich distillery distinguish themselves from the majority of other whiskies of the isle of Islay in having only a very limited influence of the peat, which in this case is very discreet.
After having been mothballed for several years, this distillery has fortunately resumed production since May 2001. If you wish to visit it or know more about it, you may browse the page which is dedicated to it : Bruichladdich Distillery.
