NORMA MUNRO

The Golden Voice of Islay

Genuine whisky amateurs know this well, the isle of Islay conceals quite a few treasures.

With A Song in the Air from Norma Munro, it is another reason to be under the spell of this magic island.

Although originating from the city of Dundee on Scotland's East coast, Norma Munro choosed to settle on Islay where she has been living since 1994. Accompanying herself with her guitar, she has sung in public for the first time in 1999 at the Whisky and Song Festival in Paris, even before touring in Scotland. She has also sung in Germany at the Berlin Whisky Festival.

Being now an international artist, she starts being well known in Scotland !

For a number of years the people of Islay have asked for this record. A Song in the Air includes some of their most requested songs as well as some of Norma's favorites.

After its extraordinary peaty whiskies, Islay is now offering us the magic of Celtic songs with the haunting voice of Norma.

A wonderful recipe to enjoy a real moment of Celtic Escape while forgetting about the stress of life : listening to A Song in the Air in the evening by the fireside with a good dram of your favourite Islay whisky. A combination of pure Celtic magic which will make you think you actually are on Islay !
